Ostrich Eggshell Carving!

So I think around September I was around MegaMall in Ortigas & I happen to pass by the art display area where they always hold exhibitions & stuff. I decided to take a look around (luckily I had with me my new 6220 w/ a built-in 5MP camera, which is more reliable than my iPhone, which I think has now gone crazy).

I took a few photos but none struck me quite as well as the following ostrich eggshell carvings fashioned by filipino artists.

They are so pretty! But I bet they cost a lot too…

(Geez. Listen to me. Talking to myself like an idiot. But then again tell me something new..)

So yeah anyh0o.. Sooorrryy have been sooo M.I.A. for like 2 months, but it’s been a cre-he-he-hAzy past two months. I got a stable job⎯(2 actually)⎯and am now producing this t.v. show that’s about to take off pretty soon & pre-production is hecka freak’n tick! So…yeah. That’s what’s been eating up my time lately :-( {Oh, hey guys, PLs checkout Flippish tv when you have the time! It’s the first of its kind in the Philippines! All original shows produced by the crazy Flippish VIP’s! Do drop by! [end plug]} ;^P

To make up for all the lost time, I am going to post all the photos I accumulated over the past months (I also want to thank Nokia for incorporating a 5MP camera into my 6220 (although I really think it’s around 3 or 4MP). Thank you very much. You have made my blogging so much more convenient).

But Yeah. Even though I have been swaggering all over the metro doing shit for other people, I still had my blog in mind :-)

Anyway, here are a couple of photos I didn’t really know what to do with, so I guess I’ll just put ‘em here…

(Oh! Also! I applied for Google AdSense so maybe that’s why I’m quite excited to pick-up the slack on my blogging again ^_^ I mean, times are tough, y’know. & I wouldn’t mind picking up a paycheck every now & then :-)

Dog lovers, meet Cute and Bambi, who have been dubbed “dog-kangaroos” by those who have encountered the pair in Quezon City, Philippines.

Cute and Bambi were apparently both born with only their two rear legs and are the pets of Lope Tulipas, a Quezon City street vendor. Many passersby are understandably taken by the pair — some have even offered to buy them, but Tulipas has turned down all offers.

Cat videos are everywhere. Some cats chirp at birds, others jump in and out of paper bags, and a select few play the keyboard. But, in this BBC report, we are introduced to a new breed of feline: one that leaves the house every day to ride the bus. Casper the Commuter Cat waits patiently at the bus stop, boards and sits in his favorite front seat, and enjoys the 11 mile loop through town. He must be going through that teenager phase when you want your mom to just back off already! Or maybe he just really wants to show his support for environmentally-friendly commuting options.
